Whispers Care Solutions is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

 

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured. 2023 is the first year that we have taken carbon emission reduction onto consideration, and as such the emissions given herein are our first recorded measurements.

Emissions Reduction Targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 14,000 tCO2e by 2028. This is a reduction of 11%

Carbon Reduction Projects

We have implemented a change in our duty desk team, where each member of our enquiries staff now works from home, and does not need to commute to the office. This has reduced their vehicle usage and energy used in the workplace. We are also concentrating on moving towards a paperless workplace, and are encouraging our staff to use less resources where necessary, ie: heating and air conditioning usage.

 

Declaration and Sign-Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans. This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors.
